FROM DEMOLITION TO COMPLETION

Our Services

Demolition

Demolition of an old bathroom is an important and necessary step in any bathroom renovation project. This process involves the removal of the existing fixtures, tiles, and other materials to create a blank slate for the new design. The demolition process can be complex and requires careful planning and execution to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Our team of experts is highly skilled in bathroom demolition, and we take every precaution to protect your home from damage during this process.

Plumbing & Electrical

Moving plumbing and electrical in a bathroom renovation is a crucial step in creating a new layout and ensuring that all of the new fixtures and fittings are properly connected. This process requires the expertise of licensed plumbers and electricians who are experienced in working with bathroom renovations. Our team has the knowledge and skill to properly move and install all necessary plumbing and electrical components. We work closely with you to design a layout that meets your needs and preferences while adhering to local building codes and safety standards.

Re-Plastering

Our team of experts is highly skilled in re-plastering and takes great care to ensure that the new plaster is applied evenly and is smooth to the touch. We use high-quality materials and products to ensure that the new plaster is durable and long-lasting. In addition to providing a smooth surface for finishes, re-plastering can also help to prevent moisture damage and mold growth in your bathroom. At the end of the process, your bathroom will look and feel like new, with a fresh and clean surface that’s ready for your new fixtures and finishes.

Waterproofing

Waterproofing a bathroom is a crucial step in any bathroom renovation project. This process involves creating a barrier to prevent water from penetrating through the walls, floors, and ceilings, which can cause damage and mould growth over time. Our team of experts is highly skilled in waterproofing and uses specialised materials and techniques to ensure that your bathroom is fully protected from water damage.

Tiling

Tiling a bathroom is a popular way to give it a fresh and modern look. The process involves selecting a tile material, measuring the bathroom area, and preparing the surface for installation. The tiles are then cut to size and placed onto the wall or floor using a tile adhesive. Grout is then applied to fill the gaps between the tiles, creating a seamless and water-resistant finish with beautiful results.

Painting

Painting the walls in a bathroom is a simple and cost-effective way to update its look. The first step is to select a paint colour that complements the bathroom’s selected features such as the tiles, fixtures, and decor. We only use paint that is mould and mildew resistant since bathrooms are often exposed to high humidity and moisture. Next, the walls must be thoroughly cleaned and any damages or imperfections should be patched and sanded. A high-quality paint primer is then applied before the final coat to ensure that the paint adheres well and lasts longer.

Fit-Off

Bathroom fit-off refers to the process of installing and finishing off the various components of a bathroom to make it functional and visually appealing. This includes installing fixtures such as a bathtub, shower, toilet, and vanity, as well as installing lighting and other accessories. A bathroom fit-off can be a complex and time-consuming project, especially if the space is small or there are specific design requirements. It’s important to work with experienced professionals to ensure that the installation is done correctly and that all building codes and regulations are met. A well-executed bathroom fit-off can transform a dull and outdated bathroom into a comfortable and stylish space that meets the needs of its users.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!

What is a Budget Bathroom?

A Budget Bathroom is a refreshed, modernised look to a tired, older style bathroom, replacing old with new; or, a renovation undertaken where water leaks or ingress have been found in an existing bathroom or ensuite.

A Budget Bathroom comprises demolition of the current bathroom, which includes removing existing vanities, shower frames, towel rails etc; re waterproofing; new tiling and painting; and new for old fixtures and fittings from a nominated range through our preferred suppliers.

A Budget Bathroom does not include re-sheeting of walls, or the addition or moving of plumbing points (ie. adding a bath or a toilet into an existing floorplan where there wasn’t one), or the moving of walls … these are variations that we can certainly include, but don’t form the basis of a Budget Bathroom.

Can I Supply my own Plumbing Fixtures, Vanity, Bath, Toilet or Tiles?

Our initial quote for your Budget Bathroom will have a monetary allowance for these PC (personal choice) items – you are welcome to purchase your own PC items if you want to upgrade or choose from another supplier, but the cost of the bathroom will increase according to how much you spend above the $allowance in the quotation (for example, we have allowed $1000 for a vanity unit in the quote, but you have found one you would prefer for $1500 – the job cost will increase by the amount of $500, the difference between the allowance and the actual cost).

Does a Budget Bathroom include tiling from floor to ceiling?

This is the most common question from our clients, as it is also the most popular choice for modern bathrooms – the short answer is, that we can certainly provide this service, however, being an expensive addition given tile and tiling costs, this is the one item which could blow the Budget out of the Bathroom! A standard Budget Bathroom quote will include one row of skirting tiles around the wall perimeter, with painted wall surrounds.

I have Water Damage in my existing bathroom, what can you do about that?

Our quotation would then include stripping the existing wall sheeting back to the frame and fixing the plumbing issue before proceeding.

My current bathroom walls are Asbestos, can you work with those, or do they need to be removed?

They will need to come out as part of the demolition – we have the licensed removalists on hand to do this, and to dispose of legally, the costs of which will be included in the quotation.

I want to start the process … What Do I Do Next?

Excellent choice! Hopefully by now you have an idea of what we do, and what can be achieved to suit your requirements. The next step is to use our Instant Estimate tool to give you a ballpark cost, and if that fits your budget, please contact us to arrange an on-site visit, and we will be in touch to arrange an appointment to see you.
